Task Manager:

The ANSA Task Manager is a tool that organizes all of the distinct modeling actions that must be followed for the setup of a discipline specific model. The Task Manager organizes all of the modeling actions into a hierarchical dependency tree. All of the individual steps of the model development process can be included in the Task Manager, and the dependencies between the various steps are automatically maintained.
The tasks in Task Manager may be defined by CAE experts, who set the order and boundaries between distinct modeling actions and predetermine all modeling parameters to be used at each stage of the model build. Tasks can be exported and used as a standard template to guide the setup of similar analyses on other models.

Standard Procedures:

ANSA provides two tools for the development and application of standard procedures to the model build process: the ANSA Task Manager, and ANSA Scripting.
The ANSA Task Manager is a tool that organizes all of the distinct modeling actions that must be followed for the setup of a discipline specific model. Tasks can be exported and used as a standard procedure to guide the setup of similar analyses on other models.
ANSA Scripting is a programming environment that enables the development of complex custom procedures which utilize both the existing capability of ANSA as well as user developed functions.  ANSA Scripting allows these complex procedures to be quickly implemented and deployed. Using ANSA Scripting, procedures can be developed which reduce the opportunity for user error and reduce the time required to build a standard compliant model.

Templates:

The ANSA Task Manager includes a template feature which provides a method to generate multiple model variants from a single ANSA database. Templates can be used to control which subassemblies are included when a model is exported from ANSA, as well as the representation of the subassemblies. The representation can be used to select a specific mesh density, a mass only representation, a modal model representation or no representation.
Templates can reduce the time spent maintaining multiple model variants.  Rather than maintaining separate models, all model variants can be maintained in a single database and specific configurations of the model may be selected when the model is exported to the solver.

Custom Menus:

ANSA provides users with the option to create their own custom menus. With this feature, users can assemble menus containing only the functions required for specific tasks or only functions which they commonly use. In ANSA, functions are grouped into several different modules which include topology, meshing and solver specific functions. Only one of these modules can be active at any point in time. With custom menus, users can add functions from any of the available modules into a single menu.  This improves user productivity making commonly used functions readily available.

Batch Mode:

ANSA can be run in batch mode, which allows utilizing ANSA within optimization loops or other automated processes. The full functionality of ANSA is available in batch mode, which enables the creation of complex automated processes.
ANSA is directly supported by several industry standard optimization software packages, which allows ANSA users to easily setup optimization analyses utilizing the full capability of ANSA. By running ANSA in batch mode, the optimizer can control common design variables such as property thickness and material properties. In addition, since the full functionality of ANSA is available to the optimizer, the optimizer can also control the shape of various components in the model using ANSA morphing capability.

Scripting:

ANSA Scripting is a programming environment that enables the development of complex custom procedures which utilize both the existing capability of ANSA as well as user developed functions.  ANSA Scripting allows these complex procedures to be quickly implemented and deployed. Using ANSA Scripting, procedures can be developed which reduce the opportunity for user error and reduce the time required to build a standard compliant model.

Script Editor:

The ANSA Script Editor provides a graphical integrated development environment (IDE) for the ANSA Scripting language. The Script Editor contains standard IDE features such as a debugger with watch variable and break point capability, ability to manage projects containing multiple source code files, a function library, and an interactive programming window. With the ANSA Script Editor, scripts can be rapidly developed and debugged inside of the ANSA environment.
